Many of you provided feedback around the friction involved in asking end users to launch the Remote Assist app manually and sharing the one time session code with them to establish a Remote Assist session.
We are pleased to inform you that we will be rolling out the “join with consent prompt” capabilities which resolves these issues. The general availability for this release is targeted for the first week of April 2023.
When this new feature is launched and a session is started, the Remote Assist app on the device automatically pops up a consent prompt. The session will start as soon as the end user grants consent. Session establishment tokens/secrets are securely delivered by JC infrastructure to the device, relieving admins from having to share them out-of-band.
New version changes
In addition to the Remote Assist app, a new lightweight service with elevated privileges will automatically be installed on all your devices if Remote Assist is enabled under Settings > Features. The service launches the Remote Assist app for screen sharing, as needed. There are no changes to the networking requirements from earlier versions.

Is this working for anyone else? The announcement indicated this would be available the first week of April. It's now the third full week of April and I'm still getting a code like I always used to...

@bjurkowski this has been in Early Access release in the field for a few weeks and will be going GA by next week. We had some unexpected delay in GA rollout but that has been addressed now.
