Administrators can now update and enhance their organizationโs global password policy without requiring all users to reset their passwords by a specific date. When saving changes to strengthen the policy, a new default option will appear to apply the updated password requirements at each userโs next password change.
This allows IT teams to strengthen password requirements while respecting each userโs current password expiration date. Previously, the only option for admins was to set a deadline by which all users had to update their passwords, forcibly expiring accounts and overriding existing granular password expiration dates.
Organizations can still enforce a mandatory password reset for all users by a specific date by selecting the โCustom Dateโ option when applying new password requirements.
