JumpCloud Strengthens BYOD Security and Streamlines User Experience with Support for Apple's Account-Driven User Enrollment (ADUE) for iOS/iPadOS

JumpCloud today announces support for Apple's Account-Driven User Enrollment (ADUE) for iOS and iPadOS. This integration empowers organizations to simplify device provisioning, enhance security, and improve the user experience for Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) deployments.

Enhanced BYOD Management with Streamlined User Enrollment

ADUE is the preferred method for enrolling personal Apple devices running iOS/iPadOS 15 and later into JumpCloud's Mobile Device Management (MDM). With this streamlined approach, end users can directly enroll their devices using a Managed Apple Account provided by your organization, eliminating the need for external profile downloads or QR code scans from the JumpCloud User Portal. This departure from the previous profile-based user enrollment, deprecated by Apple for devices running iOS/iPadOS 18 and later, offers several key advantages:

  • Simplified User Enrollment: Users experience a seamless enrollment process by leveraging their existing Managed Apple Account credentials.
  • Enhanced Security: JumpCloud's BYOD solution continues to provide robust security features, including application management, device information collection, and enforcement of corporate security policies.
  • Separation of User and Organizational Data: ADUE ensures a clear distinction between user data and organizational data on personal devices.
  • Improved User Experience: End users retain control of their devices, while gaining secure access to company resources with minimal friction.

JumpCloud's BYOD Solution Offers Comprehensive Management Capabilities

Beyond streamlined enrollment, JumpCloud empowers IT administrators with a comprehensive suite of BYOD management features:

  • Corporate Configuration Enforcement: Implement standardized settings for Wi-Fi, VPN, email, and passcode requirements.
  • Application Management: Efficiently install and remove essential corporate apps and resources.
  • Data Security and Network Protection: Safeguard sensitive data and network infrastructure when employees access information from personal devices.
  • Iron-clad User Privacy: JumpCloud prioritizes user privacy on end user mobile devices.
