The PWM Autofill Rule allows users to self-serve and configure the credential autofill process where automatic detection fails due to the inherent variability in website structure and components. This feature empowers users to map specific login fields (i.e., username and password), ensuring consistent secure and safe access to any website applications through self-service.
With the introduction of the Autofill Rule feature, users will experience:
Consistent Credential Auto-filling: PWM will now work seamlessly on ALL websites; despite unusual website structures and components.
Faster Resolution via Self-service: Autofill Rule empowers users with a self-service capability by mapping these pages manually, significantly reducing the traditional wait-time for resolution.
This initiative provides users with the ability to overcome the limitations of a traditional password manager, ultimately leading to a more consistent and satisfying user experience.
To create an autofill rule, follow these steps:
Go to a website where the automatic detection of fields fails.
On the login page, right click the username field. In the shortcut menu, select Jumpcloud Password Manager > Set field as Username
Right click the Password field. In the shortcut menu, select Jumpcloud Password Manager > Set field as Password.
Proceed to log in.
Note: After you create an autofill rule for your saved username and password, these fields will be obfuscated and greyed out once they are automatically filled. This is done to enhance your privacy.
