Device Registration and Daily Use

We’ve updated the JumpCloud Go authentication flow for desktop devices, introducing a more intuitive user experience during the registration process that clearly highlights the value of JumpCloud Go authentication to users.

New Registration Screen

Users will no longer see the “Log in with JumpCloud Go” button if their device is not yet registered for JumpCloud Go authentication. Instead, they’ll be prompted to “Register Device” for JumpCloud Go, bringing clarity to the required registration step.

“Not Now” Alternative Authentication Options

For users operating from non-managed accounts on managed devices, or those needing to log into an alternative account not associated with their managed JumpCloud account, a “Not Now” option is available. This allows them to bypass the JumpCloud Go flow and access their resources via traditional authentication.

Post-Registration Login Improvements

After a device is registered for JumpCloud Go, we’ve refined the “Log in with JumpCloud Go” screen. Users will now see a “Log in with a different account” option, replacing the previous “Or” option to enter an alternative email address.

This change addresses confusion caused by the interplay between JumpCloud Go and browser email autofill features, providing a clearer path for users needing to access resources with alternative accounts.
