Hello,
I am pleased to announce the GA release of Device Monitoring and Alerting. This new capability surfaces the most critical events you care about in a new Alerts dashboard, allowing you to respond in a timely manner before they cause escalations or downtime.
Key Features
- Monitor Device Health for macOS, Windows, Linux
- View & manage alerts from either the Admin Portal or straight from the MTP
- Fully customize alert rules to stay focussed on things that matter to you and avoid alert fatigue
- Create custom script-based alerts for specific monitoring needs beyond the rule templates
- Get alerted on existing conditions already present at the time of rule activation.
Alerts are derived either from the System Insights or Directory Insights events.

Getting Started
Access the Alert dashboard from either the top navigation bar or the left navigation menu:
Initially this page will be empty. Click on the Rules tab to start creating your custom alert rules:
Add a new rule from one of the templates. Example disk use monitoring rule:
Create custom script-based rules if you need to monitor something beyond the rule templates. This offers limitless possibilities to monitor their fleet e.g. to check AV status, event logs, registry values, MDM enrolment status, etc. A sample rule that triggers an alert is a custom script to check EDR agent status:
View and manage triggered alerts from the dashboard:
