My life would have been a lot easier if having a great network was as easy as configuring the hardware correctly. Sure, that’s an important aspect of it, but there can be many hidden perils that impact how well your network performs. E.g. … I had the displeasure of meeting the “anaconda in the closet” … hundreds of feet of spooled CAT 5 cable that degraded signals outside of acceptable quality before they even reached a WAP. Not so fun fact: it also created its own RF interference. No wonder there were connection issues, especially with network sensitive conferencing apps. This is a hard-learned field guide about what to look for when troubleshooting your WiFi and achieve network success.
