Hi all,
I'm seeking some advice/best practices when it comes to this particular situation. We have the occasional requirement to give out spare windows laptops to our CX users if they are having issues with their own laptops. This can happen during late shifts when no one from the IT team is available. What would be the best way to achieve this?
I can see enabling Self-Service Account Provisioning could be an option, but this setting would apply to our entire estate of devices, when really it only needs to be enabled for a few. Additionally, once a user signs in with this method no other users could sign in unless they are manually bound to the device, or the first person that signed in is unbound from the device.
The other method I can see is manually creating a few generic users in JC with a known password, and binding these to the laptops. The password would have to be documented and known by whatever team requires the laptop.. This is essentially how we are currently doing it with a couple old macs.
Interested in your thoughts.
